Andrew is a member of the Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors with over 35 years experience and together with John White, a founding partner of Sanderling Estates LLP.

Along with John White, Andrew founded Sanderling Estates in 2008, with £14 million of equity raised from private individuals and financial support from The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Andrew and John set up LTL Properties in 2003 to acquire and sell investment properties across Scotland and they both established Earlybird Properties, a joint venture with Dawn Developments in Glasgow, and Cascade Estates, a joint venture with The Chess Group in Aberdeen. Both of these acquire and trade investment/development property opportunities and Andrew remains a director of both.

Andrew and John have also set up Ptarmagan Partnership. This was an investment vehicle created with equity from Scottish Life and debt provided by Bank of Scotland. £50 million was invested over 24 months in Scotland and Northern England, after which the assets achieved a figure well in excess of £60 million when sold in April 2002.
